Re: Headlight bulb replacement
The Sylvania Silverstarts have a relatively short filament life span.
Listed on their website.
Sylvania
Standard;
Life = 1000hr
Output = 1000lm
Silverstar;
Life = 200hr
Output = 1000lm
If you are looking for longer life you need to go with a standard bulb. If you like the white/blue look you have to stick with the shorter life. That or spend $90 for a set of 4k - 500hr PIAA Extreme White Plus bulbs.

How long they last really depends a lot on your climate and the amount of time you travel with your lights on. When I ran my Accord I had a switch to turn off my DRL and had a set of Silverstars last quite a while.....It's all about the run time and filament life!

If you go with a HID retrofit please make sure you align them properly. Don't be a DIY douche bag and have them pointing at oncoming traffic.... IMO This has to be the worst cosmetic DIY out there to date. Sure it works if you get it done properly!
The stock housings where not designed for HID fixtures..... I'll leave it at that!

Re: Headlight bulb replacement
I found Hella 9005 and 9006 bulbs on Ebay for $17. Just as bright as the Silverstars. Seemed like a good deal, hope they last.
