Re: harmonic balancer question
ok...just have to bring this one back to life...
After lots of work, I still have a pretty good vibration in my steering wheel at idle in gear. Parked there is very little vibration. At speed there is some occassionally, but I believe it to be the wheel balance. Anyway, I changed the rear mount twice...once with a solenoid, then one without... I also changed the front wishbone and side mounts. I changed my timing belt, balance shaft belt, tensioners, tensioner springs, water pump, battery, alternator, most vital sensors aside from MAP, complete tune up....the list goes on...
When all is said and done, I have a couple of possibile culprits in mind. My IAC seems to be not working correctly after replacing it a few months back with a used one. My rpms drop more with every additional accessory turned on, and when I unplug it at idle there is no rpm change.
My control arm and stabalizer bar link bushings are bad. Has anyone heard of something like this causing steering wheel vibration at idle??? I appreciate any ideas or suggestions. Thanx fellas.
I also just found that my cruise control isnt working...if that helps any.
