Alright I have a 94 accord with a 98 h22a4 motor in it, At lower rpms it likes to cut out pretty bad until you get up to like 3800 rpm and after that its fine...what could be the cause of this cause i cant even cruise without reving the motor at higher rpms to keep it from cutting out, and my ecu has the knock sensor removed so its not searching for it so i know its not that i was think distributor maybe im right maybe im wrong u tell me! Also i filled my car about a quart and a half to full and now my vtec isnt working also is this do to the to much oil or what?? Tryin to get my car running decent about ready to take it to the derby its pissing me off that bad lol! all help is appreciated thanks

Did you check the oil when the motor was cold or hot?

my guess would be sticking valves or clogged injectors..im no pro though..just from my experiences

try running seafoam through your tank..if it helps while the seafoam is in there but shortly after starts cutting up again...well...poke a pinhole in some transmission fluid and start the engine and put it straight into your intake ...do about half a quart but burn it all out dont kill the engine til it stops smoking...also dont let the engine die from too much transmission fluid keep the revs up a bit, idk 2-3k if it starts to sputter out.

it is easier with 2 ppl but it is doable by yourself

that will clean the injectors and your valves
edit: did it on my f22a1 and it worked like a dream

Also chec the IAC. If it is not opening properly at idle, then it will cut all air off from the engine, thus cutting it out. Just an idea. Good luck!

where is the IAC valve at??? Cause thats what it acts like its doing either air or fuel is cutting out thanks for the replys anymore???

BUMP I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!! it also cuts out every once in a while when you try to give it gas its driving me insane and is embarrising to drive lol help please

my friends was kind of doing the same thing we replace few things like the fuel filter, spark plugs wires, distri cap and we find out it was the TPS. that may help..

from what i have seen/heard its the idle air control or the throttle position sensor...how do you tell which is needing to be replaced? my f22a1 is startin to do this sputter on takeoff...when my system hits hard the revs drop to the point of it wanting to die, and when i take off it has no power, and sputters til 2k or so, UNLESS i BARELY give it gas..then when i start rolling i can punch it and it screams like a bat outta hell


edit: LOOK for gas stations that sell fuel WITHOUT ethanal ..it helps a TON
