im in the process of buying a full h22 swap for my 94 accord wagon and came accross a "H22a1 Head, fully build and ported and polished by JG. The head comes with a polished and port matched intake manifold, a polished and port matched throttle body, and a reprogrammed ECU. The head was acquired from a friend and has no more than 700 miles on it. Since then, i have had the head fully disassembled, cleaned, and checked from a local machine shop. I will include anything that is needed that originally went with the head (Cams, caps,...)."

now he also has "An H22a1 block that was used on an all motor build. It has JE Pistons 10:1 pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, completely rebalanced crank, and new cast iron sleeves. The block, since built, also only had a few hundred miles on it before i tore it down. Since then, it has been disassembled, checked, has new piston rings, all new bearings, and a fresh honing. Also, it comes with new rear main seal, new ARP studs, new oil pump, oil pan, and new oil pan gasket."

i was thinking the block would be a little much as i am just triyng to turbo at 7/8 lbs of boost and want 225-250 whp tops. if i were to buy the head what other things would i need to make it work with the stock motor i get to swap into the car. or would it work fine if i have a stock block/motor and just swap the head...im new to this so i may sound stupid but im learning and could use some tips/info..

Anyways...

You dont need a built head, you dont even need the block. 10:1 is gay for NA build. whoever told you that ID be suspect of. they should be flat tops if 10s.

Also, pics of sleeves? Id definately pull the pan and verify what hes telling you.

225 250 Wheel is EASILY done on STOCK bottom end. I made 450+ on a bone stock bottom end for over a year. Beat to ****. Making over 750 now fully built, stock port heads, stock jdm cams and stock cam gears. You need NONE of it for your goals

oh damn, yeah theres pics in the f/s ad on the honda-tech market place.

but shitt so i dont need the head either? what would u recommend as far as mods for the h22 when turboing? i have aem cam gears and wanted to get the cams as well and then i have aem aluminum pulleys. i dont want to waste money on bs mods if i dont need them...

You mentioned JG in your quote. I was guessing that was JG engine dynamics.
