H22 Accord won't go past 3500 RPM?
So we just finished swapping an H22 into my Accord. The problem we're having is the engine won't rev past 3500 RPM. No idea why.
We used the Accord harness and modified it. Double checked the wiring and everything seems fine. We also tried a new P13 ECU, no dice. I'm going to pull the dizzy out of an H22 SRV that runs properly and see if that works.
Any other ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Talked to John and was over there at the shop this afternoon and we tried a new distribuator off of another H22 from that silver Prelude in the shop and it didnt seem to help. It might be some sort of really bad vacuum leak but he checked the hoses and they all seemed to be fine. The only thing that is left is to make sure that the wiring on the car is working fine. The problem is that it is throwing a code but when you try and check it it doesnt show anything on the dash. So it might be something along the lines of a wiring problem going to the ECU or the dist.

Your car is in limp home mode. You need to find out why and like CRXForum said, you gotta find where the wiring is messed up...Is the ECU chipped? If it is, is it running the right software?

Its a P13 ECU. The 2nd one that has been in the car. The only thing I can think of is the wiring.

Done. Basically John swapped all the sensors. First TPS, then the air charge sensor, then the coolant temperature sensor and it's all better now!
I knew the car wasin limp mode obviously, just needed to figure out what it was that was causing it. Thank god for other peoples car/parts, haha!
Thanks Mikey.

Just never heard of something like that sending a car into total limp mode.
