Forgot to add liquid gasket to new valve cover gasket
Car: 94 Honda accord
Problem: I just replaced the valve cover gasket, but forgot to add liquid gasket to the new gasket, as specified in Honda manual. I don't want to do it again. Is this absolutely critical? Thanks.

you'll find out if oil starts to seep out through these areas. pull it off and redo it. it's not hard, 10 minutes and you're done.

That you can see! There are only 4 spots on the gasket that require a dab of HB or RTV sealant. They are the bottom corners where the gasket goes over the cam caps. Unless you remove the timing cover you can't see that area on the gear side. On the distributor end you will be able to see if it starts to leak. I agree that if it's not leaking, leave it.
Just make sure to keep an eye out for leaks behind the distributor and around the valve cover/timing cover on the gear end.
