Icon2 Fog Light Switch Question (94 Accord)

well a while back i installed some oem fog lights for my 94 accord, but with a autozone kit,, so the fogs are oem but the connection and switch is not......but i just recieved my oem switch today, is there a way to connect it to the current way i have it?? or do i have to get the original harness?

oh the kit was a basic 3 wire set black,red,white and with the switch.........it was pilot something....heres a pic of the kit that i used

Ah gotca, for something like that you can probably just grab a multimeter on the oem switch. See which pins are closed when pressed (which would complete the circuit and turn it on) I think the OEM one has like 4/5 pins though as it interacts with the headlights and what not. Yours would just be a simple on/off. Let me see if I can snag a diagram for the oem fog switch

copied from a very old post I saved back when I did mine... NOTE: the directions given are for a switch installed upside down so you'll hafta switch the prong numbers accordinly. Fog light switch assembly – part # O8V31-SV4-100R3 Ok first thing you're gonna need to do is cut away the > plastic surrounding the prongs. ok now if you are looking at the back it > should look something like this: > > 1 2 3 4 > 5 6 > > (Each of the numbers stands for a prong) > > Ok Connect the +12 power lead from the battery to prong 1 > > Ok connect the wire from your fog lights that is supposed to be connected > to the battery to either prong 3 or 4 (Prongs 3 & 4 are both copper and > are connected so it really only one connection) > > Ok now you should be able to switch the fog lights on and off > > Ok now connect prong 2 to a ground > > Now connect prong 5 to the dash illumination wire. You should be good, worst case is get a multimeter and see which pins are open when the switch is depressed and closed when the switch is pressed.

got an update....well i followed that diagram and it worked......the only thing i was not able to do was make the switch light up....but other than that it turns off the fogs as well as on........i plan on making the switch light up.....any ideas???

Hey any luck on ever gettin the light on the stock OEM switch to light up?? Im curious to know..

its weird because it lights up and everything.....just when i go over a bump it goes on and off.......Any ideas why?
