Factory strut tower brace
Has anyone ever added the (95-97?) V6 Accord factory strut tower/firewall brace to a 4 cyl car? I have a '94 4 cyl accord and would like to add the factory brace, but it's starting to look like the strut towers and firewall may be slightly different on the v6 car. Just wondering if anyone has done this. Looks like it would be more effective than a conventional tower brace since it attaches to the firewall as well. thanks

The v6 has a different front end, not to mention the engine bay is flipped around. I wouldn't use it.
Just get a nice aftermarket one. I only paid $70 shipped for my Cusco one.
Alternatively you can get the FFC strut bar, which also attaches to the firewall. It's available on HondaSociety.

On the 92 Civic the firewall brace seems silly because their is a small brace behind the bolt holes. You can push on the firewall and make it flex there. So I wouldn't waste money on a 3 point.

We are not talking about civics here, we are speaking about accords. Also the FFC 3 point strut bar that MuffinMan is talking about has a bracket that goes behind the firewall for added strength.

Re: Factory strut tower brace
should work the front end was just made longer from the front of the shock tower to the headlights to give proper room for the motor . same area from shock tower to firewall and same distance between both shock towers... you would just need to add the holse in the shocktower add the bolts to hold the bar down . fyi the 94-97 accord and 97-99 cl share the same front 4/6 besides being longer after the shocktower

Doesn't look like the threaded holes are in my strut towers. I don't really want to drill any holes so I guess it may be better to go aftermarket.
***Could someone with the stock strut brace please post some pics of the mounting points?
