Re: F22B2 ITB setup
Hey there,
Things are going great here. Finally found a shop closer to home to install the M.I.D sleeves. I have my 2.0L Zetec engine with them at the moment. Have to get the engine back into my winter beater and have it up and running before the snow flies. I hope to be sending the F22 out in a month or two. Then spend the winter working away at the body and interior.
How is the VR4 coming along?

I actually won 3rd place at the Upper Midwest All Mitsubishi Cookout/Carshow this last weekend! Great to see some progress is being made, your build log is the only reason I check HT anymore. lol

Re: F22B2 ITB setup
Well it's been a while since I have taken any time to work on this project. With work around the house and an engine going into my SUV, the Accord has taken a back seat yet again. That being said, the first of two shipments of parts arrived for the Accord today.....
My stock headlight housings and hardware were FUBAR'd so I figured that I would just buy the complete sets from TASAuto.... I will bake them and use the new lenses on my white housings as well. Big brake upgrade and ST front and rear sway bars..... another shipment will be arriving next week and I will begin work on the Accord once more!

Re: F22B2 ITB setup
Glad you are still with us.
I am moving to Brazil and am forced to sell my puppy here in France...CD9 5 speed manual.
She is/was mine for over 10 years due to circumstances never got to treat her as I wanted.
Already sold my CE2 Earodeck.. (5 speed manual)
Can not import second hand cars to Brazil
Will be following and looking to see if I can buy a Accord there in Brasil in due time, I seen them around but all 4 door auto and going for silly money.

Glad to see you're still working on the project!
I too got the ST anti-sway bars for the front and the rear. I have an LX so I didn't have a rear sway bar to begin with and it made a noticeable difference for the positive. After I got the rear done I replaced the front and didn't really notice much improvement there - however, I don't autox my car or anything like that.
The install is simple and straightforward. Another thing I noticed is that when I jack up either my left or right front of my car, the rear wheel on the same side will eventually go in the air as well. Talk about a proven sign of stiffness in the body!

Nice...that's what I'm looking for. So the ST bars along with all the poly bushings should make it pretty responsive.
Can't wait to get back to work on this beast..... I should be done building the Zetec engine this weekend. Then it's back to body and suspension work on the Accord!

Hey ya thanks... I actually have to get some updates on that blog, it's been a few!
Funny that you mention baking cylinder heads. I have another 83 GS400X head that I have to punch the guides out of soon.

Also glad to see this project is not gone with the wind. That big brake upgrade you ordered, is there much difference in the size the caliper to the stock one? I would like to be able to run my 96 spec ITR's with these new brakes. I got $1000 set aside to do a bunch of things to my accord and brakes is up there on the list.

I don't have them mounted yet but the kit I bought has the 11" disc w/4x114.3 ROH bearing and Nissin single piston 17CL15VN calipers. They say that this kit is for use on 15" and larger wheels.

Mmmmm More parts!
Blog Update....finally!
First shipment of exhaust parts for the Accord has made it's way! I think the rest have been delayed due to all the snow we have been getting in the North East!
Can't wait to start welding!

Try running without the front bar. Really helped with rotation during autocross when I disconnected mine. Really don't see the need for it, even though it may have sharpened the responsiveness in quick transitions. Needless to say, I'm going to run without once I do my front suspension refresh.

Yes, the front sway bar. Install whatever you bought, but try it disconnected on one end to see if you like it. Personally, I LOVE the way the front of the car feels without it, and it puts down power a lot better coming out of corners, too.
