Thats an unexpected mod to the spoiler... very cool ideas in the build.

Curious to know more about the coil on ignition setup, I read your blog on both updates but would love to know more specifics on how your triggering the coils and making it work with a honda ecu?

That project has been put on hold for how. The daytime temps are getting warmer and I prefer to do my welding with the garage door open for proper ventilation. So for the time being I have moved back to working mainly on my chassis.

I have two Electronic Distributor less Ignition System setups that I am currently putting together. One is the experimental one using the Honda ECU. The other is using the MegaSquirt EMS and a Ford EDIS8 setup. The MegaSquirt EMS is already set up to work with the Ford EDIS8. I know it works. Therefore it's my backup if the Honda ECU EDIS doesn't work out as planned.

The BBB emailed me back and said that they were closing the claim becuase they could not get a response from Kevin. That is why I started the claim in the first place. I didn't expect much more than that from them. Considering it's over a measly $160. I can't even see the group by list anymore. I don't know how many people paid, I'm guessing that 4 of the six were Kevin's buddies anyway. They probably never gave him the cash in the first place. You and I are the only two that have ever said anything about it.

Two weeks ago I sent Kevin an email stating that I am taking legal action. Last Sunday he called and left a message on my phone. I am going to call him back today to see what's up.

Well lemme know if there's anything I can do to help. Maybe I can get in along with you? As far as the crank pulleys go since it's easy enough to prove I was in the buy in with you also. I've already written it off but hey $160 bux is a $160 bux ya know. If you want to email me or anything lemme know

Yeah I heard about you gettin kicked as well, kinda immature in my eyes. If there was problems, then he should have responded to them, maybe it was something only minor he was too embarrassed to talk about, or it could have been the fact that something major had happened and that the money couldn't be refunded because of problems. Still in all fact, you should NOT have been kicked from gen5alive. You're probably the first and only to complain about the issue, so removing you from the equation, give him some extra room.

Yeah I was banned for a different reason aside from the Crank Pulley incident. It wasn't Kevin who banned me. It was JDM-SiR that banned me for starting a thread about his comments left on on other members voice mail. I also posted a link to the recording and asked him for his side of the story. He never replied to the thread, he just deleted the thread and banned me.

I just got off the phone with Kevin and he said that the crank pulley is still a go. He has been in contact with Bisi to get them finished up. Funny that I talked to Heidi a few weeks back and she said they had nothing to do with it. I do not have any more details on what is taking place now. Kevin said he would keep in touch so there will be no further miss-communication. He also said that he was going to lift my ban from Gen5........

He seemed sincere but I am still a bit skeptical. As long as he keeps the lines of communication open I will give him the chance. I have put my lawyer on hold for now. Good thing he's a family friend or I would probably owe him the price of the pulley for the work he's done already.

be careful welding near windows. I have flux embedded in my parts car windows from where someone welded near them.

I rolled the window up and covered it with my fire blanket before I started to weld thanks for the heads up though. It's always good for others to know that as well

woah that fog bracket looks baller. If you can do that, then you should have no problem putting some s2k projectors in your housings... or maybe some LS430s if you are bold.

Thanks, I'm going to stick with my 4000k PIAA's for now. I may decide to do a retrofit if I have any issues with lighting.

oh man. after having a retro, I will never go back. With a build of this caliber, I would deem it necessary. Plus it grabs looks. At the past Richmond Meet, I caught so many people checking them out. I feel like it makes my accord stand out from other Hondas.

Plus with your skill set and tools, you could be apioneer in retrofitting community by making custom adjustment brackets and such.

Everyone on HIDPlanet just uses dremels, nuts, and bolts. Your welding skills will take it to the next level.

He won't take it to the next level, he IS the next level!!
Are you shaving all 4 door handles or just the rear ones?

Thanks for vote of confidence gain

I swapped the rear door handles with the front ones. So the key has technically been shaved. There is a DIY/step by step on my blog page. I don't have any plans for shaving the front. Plus I'm not sure if it is allowed by my local track.

If I do any further mods to the door handles it will be to replace my fronts with a set of 2000 Nissan Pathfinder rear door handles. I like the way they open vertically vs the stock horizontal ones, and they are a little bit smaller.

Man that spoiler mod is sweet... Wish I had the creativity to even think of that.

Interesting... I've never seen someone do a handle swap that way (rear to front so no key hole). Well, I probably have but I just didn't pay enough attention!

Neat idea. So whats next?!

Probably spend some more time on the front clip. It's been very time consuming converting it to a one piece reverse lift style.

Thanks. Yeah summer time, I don't work down in the garage as much. I am planning on getting my hood finished before the fall when work starts to get too crazy.

Anyone out there have any weights for the Non VTEC SOHC F22 cylinder head?

I'm looking for weights for both a complete head and a bare head.
Bare = No rocker assembly, cam or valves. I'll take the weight for a stock valve cover as well if anyone has it. I forgot to weigh my stuff before I started modifying it.

I know this may seem insignificant but every lb counts. I know from the weight I shaved from getting rid of the stock intake and throttle body. That the overall weight reduction in all areas will all add up in the end.

Just an example,

Stock IM w/EGR, Throttle body, TPS, IACV, & FITV = 17lbs 10.3oz
My ITBs = 6lbs 3.9 oz

That is a saving of 11lbs 6.4oz on the intake alone.......

If you can post up some stock weights it would be greatly appreciated.

Complete head =
Bare head =
Valve cover =
