f22b1 engine and a f23a1 trans?
I have a 1995 honda accord with a slipping tranny. I would like to know what transmissions bolt up to my engine it is a f22b1 so it has vtech also it is automatic and I want to keep it auto. So I want to know if the h22 trans and/or the f23 transfer bolt up to my engine and if I need to get a different ecu ect. Thanks

Yes all OBD1 & 2 F & H series trans bolt to your engine. Finding an OBD1 (90-95) would be your best bet. H series trans may require some mount modifications. Not only that but the H series trans has very short gearing for a stock F22B1.
Should probably stick to a 90-93 F22A1-6 or 94-95 F22B1-2 trans for bolt up and ECU simplicity. No need to swap ECU if you stay with an F series trans.

Okay thanks. I have found a really nice f23a1 transmission does the mount up since it is an f series? And how is the gearing on that tranny? And since it is from an obd2 does that make any difference?

The vehicle speed sensor on the F23 trans may be different than the connector from your OBD1 harness. Other than that the gearing is pretty much the same between the F22B1 and F23A1.

So if i use an h23 trans does it matter if the trasmission is a vtech or a nonvetch? my engine has vtech. also is it an easy bolt up besides the speed sensor?

Transmissions themselves are not VTEC or Non VTEC, it is the engine that is! As far as the swap goes. It's as easy as putting in any FWD transmission of the same kind. IMO it is usually easier to take out the engine and trans as a complete unit. If you plan on doing this yourself you should definitely get yourself a Helms manual.
If you want to get the most out of the H23 trans the TCU would be a bonus!
