Default F22 vtec swap on 90 ex accord wont start

hey everyone, my bro just did an f22vtec full swap from a 95 accord into my old 90 accord ex, we used the old wire harness from the original motor onto the new motor so everything would just be like a plug and play, were using the original distributor/ecu also, now we been tring to get it to start, but the damn thing wont start, now is there anything that we should have used like obd2 harness or distributor cus it's not getting spark? please help cus some guy was helping but he figured out his problem then just stop helping me.

that's what we were thinking, but my mechanic said that the distributor just causes spark so it cant be that and the original ecu should work, just a check engine light might be on for vtec, but also thought i read somewhere that we could just use a p28 ecu, think were trying that today, but thanks anyway

i used the vtec dizzy for my swap. old setup was external coil dizzy, vtec dizzy is internal coil, you'll have to jam a fuse into one of the main connectors for the old external dizzy (the connector with 2 black wires and 1 yellow).

You should start by checking that you have fuel pressure. You can do this many different ways but my favorite is to back off the adapter bolt that is on the fuel rail. Turn the key on if you have fuel running out your good. Make sure you use a rag so gas doesn't go everywhere. If all is well with the fuel then check the spark. Do this by either going to your local parts house and buying a tester and hook it up between the plug end and the plug or you can stick a screw driver in the end of the boot and lay it against the manifold but leave a little gap between the metals... you should see a spark when you turn the motor over. If you don't have fuel pressure then you should first check the wiring harness to make sure you didn't forget a very important ground that goes near the thermostat housing, just above it. the harness has a loop on it that just goes on a 10mm bolt then it attaches to the head or thermostat housing. If that is done and still no fuel, I would look to the Main Relay. The main relay is an easy fix if it is the problem but I won't go into that, you can find it via search, it's been beaten like a dead horse... time and time again. Let me know how these things go and I will try to help you as much as I can.
