Re: F22 turbo faster then a h22a ??
Wow a 10 year old post with so much misinformation about the F & H series engines. It hurt my head reading 90% of this thread.....Please new members, do not read this and take any of it as truth. I guess there is 10% truth in this thread but it's hard to find.
oztoledo,
why would you post your question in a 10 year old thread that doesn't even talk about overheating? I realize your new, however, common sense should prevail. The thread you quoted only makes mention of a radiator................nothing else!
Anywho, no need to beat a dead horse!
The stock F22 cooling system should be able to handle most turbo setups @ 6 psi. The overheating issue more than likely will not go away completely by replacing the radiator. Unless it is your radiator that is the root of the problem. Not usually!
When was the last time the thermostat, water pump and coolant levels were checked/replaced? Have you removed or replaced any part of the cooling system to put in your turbo? Are you running an intercooler on your turbo outlet pipe?

i hear that while N/a it can still make upwards of 280 hp. any truth to this?

With the right amount of money and parts 280whp could be achievable from an N/A G23. However, it will take more than slapping K24 pistons in an F23 block and bolting on an H22 head to put 280 to the wheels.

Haha,
This is kind of funny.
Subjective really.
Sleeved H22 Vs. Sleeved F22
N/A H22 Vs. N/A F22
Turbo Stock H22 Vs. Turbo Stock F22
How much money do you want to spend? vs. what are your objectives?
For me H22 was a great upgrade loving Vtec, and once sleeved with turbo it will be exactly what i want. Figure out what you want, how much you want to spend, and what things will help achieve this.... GL
