Default f22 clicking noise

First off, I've been searching and I'm not finding definitive answers so hopefully someone here can help me with this. This post is for an f22a1 engine.

I replaced my timing belt and balance belt along with the timing belt tensioner and water pump. I do believe that I have the timing belt on correctly due to constant checking and rechecking durring the process.
I will admit that I'm not sure about the belt having proper tension however which is possibly the problem since I do hear a whirring noise. The first time I started it up, it seemed to be fine other than the loud screaching noise due to the alternator not being on tight. After tightening the alternator, the car seems to idle pretty high while warming up (around 1500 which seems pretty high for just warming up. It doesn't seem like a rough idle though. What's more concerning to me is the clicking noise I'm hearing from the engine. I think it's coming from under the valve cover. I know my engine was loud before, but I don't recall it being this loud.

I'm really hoping that I'm just being paranoid about the high idle and clicking noise, but maybe someone here can diagnose any problems I may have.

Again, I know that the belt being too tight could cause the whirring noise, and I will adjust that if necessary, however I'm also not sure that it isn't coming from the serpentine or p/s belts.

After my belt job it has somewhat of the same issue. The valve train clicks on almost every honda 4 cylinder motor I've ever heard. Maybe it's just a coincidence that your idle is high, 1500 rpm isn't all that bad actually. Before I cleaned my fitv my f22 used to idle around 2200 rpm.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah idle does go down once it's warmed up so I guess it should be fine. As for the clicking noise, I always knew my car was fairly loud, I think I just got paranoid by it cause I really didn't want to have messed it up and bent the valves or anything. I just drive it up the street and it drives very smooth and I can't even hear the whirring noise from inside so I think that was also a matter of me being paranoid.

The only other thing that I'm a little concerned with is a buzzing noise that I heard after it warmed up. It sounded like it came from one of the accessory belts so it's probably not crucial, but I am still a little worried.

The accessory belts need to be changed along with the timing belt as well. I still need to do mine but haven't had the chance to hit up the dealership. Your fast idle valve could could need adjusting as well (considering you have a 90-97 accord)

The clicking noise, is it intermittent or constant? It could be the engine mount solenoid which would be normal. Also when idle drops, the IAVC valve will click at the MAP black box location which is normal. Cold idle at 1500rpm is all normal, you do not need to adjust the FITV. I don't know for sure how could a timing belt be on too tight being the tensioner is spring loaded. The alternator, on the other hand, could be too tight or the bearing is bad. Drive it for a few days. If the timing is not on right, then you have worse issues.
