Default Exhaust question

Has anyone ever played around with their exhaust to find out what sounds best ( stock exhaust straight piped etc.). What did you come up with?

What I think sounds best is to do it right which is going with a Apexi WS2 catback. What I did was bought a Universal WS2 muffler and got my 2.5" piping custom. Best bang for the buck!

x2, but I skipped the custom pipes thing and went with the cat-back version of the Apexi World Sport-2.
I see no advantage to anything over 2.25" pipes unless you're doing things like Turbo.

I have headers, straightpipe, and catback on my f22 and I love it! The catback is ebay and it is crazy loud but I've never gone to sleep behind the wheel (LOL!). The only thing about my exhaust is the tone is off (in my opinion), I"m wondering is there any tweaks I can do to change the pitch of the exhaust?

How quiet is that Apexi WS2? Iv heard its the quieter of the "performance mufflers" so i debated getting it... but i dont wanna spend X amount of money on something that is noisy and makes me look like just another punk kid. Does it soound normal unless u get into it?

I can play my OEM Honda radio at standard levels with no problem. The only time you actually get any idea that something's different is when you're either in a tunnel or a mall garage. You get absolutely none of that "booming" effect you get from those ricer systems, and it doesn't radiate into the compartment.

Apexi is one of the most respected tuner brands in the business, so if I had to buy aftermarket, thats the route that I would go..

What is the stock diameter of the accord exhaust?

I had actually installed the Magnaflow system on my '97 Accord. It was so loud and intrusive that my wife wouldn't drive in the car, I gave up on listening to the radio and it collected two tickets before I could change it out for the WS2.
There is no comparison between the two systems either, The Apexi is a much better everything.

mandrel bent is when the diameter of the pipe stays the same during the bends unlike the cheap "crush" bend method. but yes thats exactly what im saying..theres a shop in my area that does custom catbacks for 350

Reread the statement, there's an exhaust THREAD with links to youtube videos.

ACTUAL users post their personal experience with exhausts along with the clips.

I personally had custom bent 2.5" stainless steel exhaust with stock cat and an Apexi WS2.

However you don't even list what car you have so it proves it a tad more difficult.

I suggest you read through https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-1990-2002-2/accord-exhaust-sound-clip-thread-1681663/

Which is listed in the Accord FAQ.

$300 at the shop for piping
$140 shipped for the muffler

I had a DC Sport replica header as well.
