Default Easiest way to change Clutch

I am getting ready to replace my clutch in my 90 Accord. Which way would be the easiest and fastest way to pull it? someone people say to pull the motor and others say pull the Tranny. since this is my first time replacing one i want to know how i should go doing this.

Thanks

The easiest way? Get a manual and follow it.
No, I'm not being snot nosed about this.
There's pro's and con's to both way's; and if you've no experience with the way Honda does things, your car will quickly end up in the back yard gathering furry woodland creatures. If you've never installed a Honda engine, don't use this as your first. It will triple the time required.

i could tell you the easiest way, but the easiest way is still too hard for you, i suggest taking it to a real mechanic, changing a clutch isnt some 1 day project for you, it could be a 1 day project but only if you have the right tools, such as a lift, and a assorted selection of metric tools, things need to be removed, then you can put your clutch on, then you have to reinstall them, ive changed clutches at our shop before, but i do NOT suggest doing this at home unless you know what your doing

it's good that you're asking. even at my shop when we do tranny jobs it takes us 3-4 hours to complete the job. best suggestion is to READ and STUDY the manual for your car. and do not forget to have PATIENTS!

Take the engine out and then swap the clutch, its the EASIER way, more time consuming, but definately easier.

Ty for the info. Yes i have done this before on other cars, just wanted to know which way is easier. I have a Shop with all of the fun Power tools, Lifts, Hoists, and everything i can use. I figured since i was going to replace my oil pan gasket i could just pull the motor out and do everything then and there. but i saw i can do the oil pan gasket without taking out the motor. Ty for the info and hopefully this weekend i can get the clutch replaced

you see, this is why noone ever gets the info they need right away and posts like this tend to go on and on, noone ever gives enough information about what their dealing with, i could have told you the easiest way but from your first post i figured you were some dude trying to change your clutch in your front yard or something, when dealing with things like this you should let us know what you have as well, because if im thinking your some dude with no experience doing it with jacks, of course im just going to tell you to take it to the mechanic and save your car from danger.

removing the tranny is the easiest way, make sure to use a support bar to hold the engine too.

call me scared lol, but for some reason when i got a car on a lift above my head, taking the tranny out is always a scary thing for me, so i always used a support bar just to be safe, can never be too sure

it takes 2 hours at TOPS to pull the entire engine and that makes putting the clutch in a whole lot easier, then 3 to put engine back in and have running. In a home garage, it sure is a hell of a lot easier to pull the entire engine rather then trying to fettle with aligning everything up... If you have a full blown shop with lift, then go ahead and leave engine in. It all comes down to the tools and equipment he has, in his case with having a full shop to work in, yes leaving the engine in is the easier way.

I havn't spent nearly that amount of time on flat rate, but you preach the Honda gospel with that last sentance.
