Clunk sound on start up ( Cold Start)
My 2002 Honda accord SE makes a clunk noise that you can feel in the car when I start it every morning on a cold start. It usually makes the noise if the car has been sitting for more than 5 or more hours. Sounds as if something may be loose in the engine/transmission area. Any ideas what this could be? Any input would be helpful.

You may have an issue with the rear Transmission Mount. It is vacumn assisted and may be relaxing as it sits overnight, allowing the engine to settle close to a chassis component - thus the "clunk". Once it starts and runs ..... no clunk :-)

I had this noise in my 2008 CR-V this morning, it was around 30 degrees outside. Just a single klunk sound and nothing else. Engine ran smooth, no noises while driving or anything.
Did the OP ever figure out what this was?

Did you ever got this resolved? Or, were you able to identify where the sound came from?
