Hello everyone,
So I have a 2001 Honda Accord LX Vtec 4 cyl , car has only 89k miles, it has trouble shifting from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd to 4th. The other day I was on the freeway and when I came out the D4 light started flashing and the car would not go past 1st gear . I turned off the car and turned on and it was fine again for a while. I put it on the code reader and it gave me 3 codes P0700, P1738, and P0740 codes. So I know the P1738 is the 2nd clutch oil pressure switch, I replaced it but as I got the old one out I noticed that the cable that was a green color cable it does not look like the original cable. Also the connection to the switch is not your regular cable connector; it looks like a cable connector from auto parts.

After replacing the switch and test driving it the code came back and now I suspect that the cable connection might be bad since its not the original. Can someone tell me
1-What is the color of the original wire to the 2nd clutch oil pressure switch?
2-Does it need to have the original cable to function properly?
3-Does anyone have a suggestion on how to proceed?
4- This part is so darn hard to get to does anyone know the best tool to use to remove?
5-Fyi- I did a fill and drain three times to make sure the oil was clean. Ran the old oil thru a sifter to see if there was any debris and none was found.
6- Also does anyone have the electrical diagram for this that may be useful?
