CF HOoD and FiberGlass Hood
I have a accord 02 coupe in white, just wondering how will a oem sty. cf hood will look like installed. how is it different from fiberglass hood(beside the painting part). most fiberglass hood have those ram air scope thing, will it be a problem when it rains? and anyone can give me advice to how to maintain a cf hood?

i hear clear coating the hood when purchased helps sun spots, umm on the other hand...you can re-weave it every couple weeks and making it tighter... ehehe... hood scoops are gay imo unless you have a huge *** turbo down under....but matinence is just like a stock hood..cept you can sit on it!!

Are the 02 hoods the same as the 98-01? If so, check out Asylum Motorsports. I believe they carry both fiberglass and carbon fiber in OE style.

Re: CF HOoD and FiberGlass Hood (TouringAccord)
there are two different patterns with the CF hood...one being the diagnal weave which stands out more and you can tell it's Cf from most angles, and the horizontal weave which just goes in a typical weave pattern at no angle...on the horizontal weave it is harder to see that it is carbon fiber from any angle but the front, but the fact that it's black gives it away i guess....but anyways, those are just some choices!

both IMO are the same,, FG or CF they are both aftermarket. and most fit good but never perfect.. i have a FG and its good. holds up well.. the only thing is you have to worry bout paint and chipping.. and now the CF i would reccommend that you reclear coat it. makes it look better and gives it a better lasting quality.... but if that scratches not sure how you fix CF.. might be a pain..

whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER FROM ASYLUM MOTORSPORTS!!!
they are slow on shipping (if they ship it at all that is), there customer service is horrible, and i've even heard they've stolen from customers.
back in my rice days i ordered a wing, and it never came.i called and they said it was in stock, but they never shipped it and still drawed money off my card. i finally got my money back and said screw it.

I notice alot of aftermarket stuff are like 98-01, i guess they change a little bit for the last model. The eibach prokit for 98-01 coupe actucally fits for 02' according to the dude at the store but i dont know about carbon fiber hood. Hey, they ask me to leave down 30 bucks and they will make the hood for me and pick up within the week, is there a catch or something?

and anyone can hook me up with a clean photo of a 6g accord coupe with cf hood?
photochopped one?
one more thing, my fd's 'tegra's fg hood kinda cracks where the hood pins are at, and of course the paint crack too, he noticed that the hair-line crack is getting bigger. is fg hood with pins is a no no? any one with cf hood have similar problems?
