theres a extermly annoying exhaust rattle on my car tried to bend the heat sheild on the underneath of the car above the exhaust and what i dont get is its still rattling so all i can think to do is remove the old tin shield running down the exhaust pipe anyone have this problem or does anyone have a better idea to fix this problem also i thinks its just the vibration from the exhaust note at 2.4k and 5-6.1k rpm range is creating such a low tone its rattling the shield from sound vibrations so yeah thanks everyone who will give me a idea from personal experience

haha bro i hav the same problem on my baby!....i dnt know wut it is, at first i thought it wuz my hood, but i lifted it and i can still hear the rattle...i am still trying to figure it out!

If you are sure the heat shield has not become loose on the body, loose on down pipe, or loose on the catalytic converter, and none of the pipes are rusted or damaged, verify that the hangers have not stretched so much as to allow excessive movement allowing contact with the heat shield or body.

If there was a larger diameter exhaust system installed, check the mass damper(#23), on your car. It may be contacting the new pipe. Remove it.

If its auto, check the shifter cable. When my a/c is on it would rattle against the head shield. Also my hood would rattle too.

ur cat could be breaking inside and rattling around under certain rpm's.
or your exhaust mounts could be getting weak and start rubbing under vibrations against the body or heat shield under.
check for rubbing marks.
