Re: a/c issues?
That is a long list, what have you looked at/tested already?
Has it ever worked since you had the car?
Fuses?
Static ac line pressures?
Continuity on the ac pressure switch?
Relays?

Re: a/c issues?
i have checked the fuses. it worked great when i bought the car. i discovered the a/c indicator light does in fact come on i am not sure why i thought it wasnt coming on . the clutch just doesnt engage. is this a symptom of low r13 level?

Could be low on freon or refrigerent (builthatch). Do you have a volt meter? You can confirm this by testing the resistance across the pins of the pressure switch.....or if you have an ac gauge the static ac pressure.

Re: a/c issues?
similar problem on my 89 honda prelude ac clutch wouldnt engage, diddnt work when i got the car, charged the system and the clutch promtly engaged, after a quick cruise shut the car off and came back started it and no a/c, the next day i jumped the a/c relay and it came on again. mine has two realys, switched the relays and jumped the other 1, nothing switch them back and nothing even jumping 3 and 4 post on both, got on justanswer.com and the guy said i shorted out the control panel?? huh??? the lights and everything work even the switch idles up the engine, so far i have just wired a switch to the main power of the clutch and cools great got to be carefull to shut it off every now and then but wtf where did i go wrong. point is if your having a/c issues start with the basics. if the clutch dosent engage try charging it, if that dosent work jump the relay 3 and 4 post if the clutch engages then replace the relay. if the engine dosent idle up could be 3 things the control panel, the low pressure switch, or the a/c control unit. mine idles up so idk wtf is wrong they dont make an a/c control unit for mine anymore.
in addition scince i did jump th eclutch to a switch the red light comes on on the switch so could my a/c control unit really be bad?

djtriggy-might try posting this in the "classic" section....then PM me to let me know it is there ( try to look in there every now and then). Got a few ideas for you-never had a prelude but plenty on late 80's (3rd gen) Accords.
