Re: body kit shops in California or Texas
If this helps any here is what it will look like only with 4 doors. the b-2 body kit and some bronze colored rims. i vision it kind of BMW looking
and im painting the bottom half gloss red with an orange pearl coat over that.
so itll be more of this color but still have a dominant red over all
im pretty sure im not going to hurt the honda rep more than other people already has. im trying to help it ,and give hope to other honda owners.
i think i can make this happen with about $2000 all together. maybe $2500

^ Is it really going to look like that when you get? Or do you plan on mounting the kit when you get it, and just driving around for awhile with it unpainted with mismatched bodypanels?

I have plenty of money but im saving it for a house. In the mean tim im trying to get my car to look as good as it runs but not break me.
There is no honda techs where i live that are going to bash me .i only see like 5 tuners driving around here and i probably will never talk to them. In fact the guy with the best prelude didnt even know how to tighten his accessory belts cause it squealed like a mo fo. and he spent $1,100 on a gigantic carbon fiber spoiler. and people made fun of his purple lug nuts.
like i said though . i dont give a **** about what other people think, who knows what they say about my car. im pretty sure they laugh at it now.
since there is so many dents i put some bloody bandaid graphics on my fenders and .........i actually get a ton positive of comments.

That's nice that you get positive comments, but just know that people are more likely to say something nice to your face than something negative. I'm just telling you that around here, you would get made fun of... period. And as I said before, if you don't care, great. We are just letting you know what to expect.

Keep in mind that the side skirts look molded to the car, so if you want that look you better factor in more body work. I'm not a fan of two-tone paint jobs on Hondas, but if done right I suppose it will work. At least you are doing it correctly and painting everything.
I do wish you luck with the paint and body work.

Most "regular" car owners know what the ricer look is (thanks to the fast and furious movies) and are not fans. Just because they don't know what brand your kit is or what the car is doesn't mean they can't spot the "look" a mile away.

You just insulted BMW owners, along with all the Honda owners you are already insulting.

Re: body kit shops in California or Texas
despite all my bodykit defense
ive decided not to get one and just go with my stock body because its going to be a ton of work for a dd. so im just going to put the money toward some tires and rotors and maybe some springs and shocks and a chamber kit.
so any way here is how i want to do it. any opinions???????
i think itll be a pretty slick Accord DX

Re: body kit shops in California or Texas
....Just keep it one color man. Accords dont really have very "sharp" body lines like say an older muscle car, so i think 2 tones ALWAYS look like hell on our cars. Really any color you choose, if you lay it down good and spend the time on prep work will look sharp on these cars.
Not a fan of the wheels but im bias against black wheels, but i woodnt go any bigger than 17''. And please dont paint your calipers man, just keep it clean and mildly OEM is what looks best IMO

Re: body kit shops in California or Texas
wow dude, people are being FAR too nice to you. You should respect these people and their opinions. They are telling you from experience since they did the same thing long ago when it was popular.
It will look like complete **** no matter how nice of paint you do. if the paint is REALLY REALLY nice i will still be nice paint on an ugly melted-looking mismatched non-flowing, gaudy body kit.
from the sound of it though you are far beyond recovery in the ricer zone. LOL @ your painting experience including "lots of interior plastic" and "tons of little stuff under the hood"
please post pics of that because I can 100% guarantee that it resembles something from McDonalds play place.
whats wrong with you? have you been sleeping under a rock?
Honda enthusiasts and many other automotive enthusiasts have realized long ago that the best BODY KIT anyone can do is a lip and drop the suspension with some wheels... you can't go wrong and it looks as if the car could have come that way from the factory. (as in following with the original design of the car)
every penny besides maintenance is wasted money on a car, if it makes you happy thats awesome but please waste it on something tangible. IMO get proper aftermarket suspension, and it will feel immediately like a different car, improved in every faucet. if you spend it on a body kit it does nothing, no one is going to think your stylin' and even if they somehow did, what would it be worth?

Alright guys, the dead horse seems beaten enough.
OP, please keep any further appearance speculation, questions, or information regarding your car in the appropriate sub-forum (Paint & Body).
Thanks
