I wouldn't go any larger than 17... maybe 18... above that your friend will start looking like a god damn fool.

17s and 18s are good, the new accords have a tendecy to swallow up wheels and make em smaller then they r...if u really like big, maybe 19s, just make sure u get sum nice lightweight forged ones...but i wud personally go for sum lightweight 18s for a good balnce of style and performance

Well it depends on what look your going for. Alot of people say that 19's and 20's are for trucks, but now-days, they have made those sizes available for sport imports such as Honda. Most people make the mistake of buy 20's that match the lug pattern, but they get the standard size like a 20x8.5 and then put the wrong tire on it to make it look worse. Most all of the standard 20's are half steel, which is to heavy for Honda's. They make certain wheels lighter and bigger, just as long as your overall circumference don't exceed your factory specs/circumference, you'll be ok. 20 is the biggest and the width is 7.5 or 8. But remember, the taller you go the smaller the profile. I have a 03 cpe. I have a 20x7.5 with a 225/35/20. To some people that's a rubber band tire. Don't go that big if you don't want that small profile. That's the only way it will look right. Plus I lowered my car with a eibach pro kit to get rid of the wheel gap. It's only a 1.3 drop, just to get rid of the gap. 19 and 20's are not recommended if you drive fast and crazy, or race, and/or live in a city with bad roads. Most people just go with 18's and call it a day but it depends on what look you want and how you drive your car. BUT NOTE: the 03-05 accords have much bigger wheel wells than the older accords, so many people think that 19's or 20's will make your car look like a 4x4. If it's done right, you have nothing to worry about.

Not to steal your thread, but what is a good size weight on 18" rims for a 6th gen accord. I'm looking at Zinik Z5 Ikeda's and they weight 28.2 lbs. Who makes lightweight rims???

I don't have pictures of mine yet but I will post them when I take some. I know there are some rim companies that specialize in bigger lighter wheels like Konig, but there are alot of new companies that I don't know about that's out there. But Still right now your choice is limited because these new sizes are new. Up until about a year ago, 19's where strictly for rear wheel drive cars with very limited wheel selections. Now you can get many more choices in that size such as 19x7, 19x7.5,and 19x8, all in front wheel drive and all aluminum witch is lighter, and tire sizes such as 215/35, 215/30, 225/35, 235/35. The same goes for 20's. They now make smaller widths and smaller sizes in tires just for sport imports. Two years ago, 20x7.5 did not exist, neither did tire sizes like 225/30/20, 225/35/20. These sizes where made just for smaller cars like Honda. But there is three main problems, (A) 20x7.5, your still limited in choice (4 now) (B) Alot of people are scared to drive on a profile that small, such 225/30 or 225/35 (C) Most people want to drive fast bend corners and get more performance out of there car instead of the looks. As far as the weight goes, you will just have to shop around, most of the time you can tell whats for sport imports just buy the size. No rear wheel drive car or truck, or full size vehicle period will have a 19x7.5 or 20x7.5. Those sizes where made just for cars like ours. So just look for the sizes when you go into a wheel shop or on a web site. Try bigwheels.net, they will let you put in the size your looking for to narrow the search. But don't let them make you believe that you can put a 19x8.5 or a 20x8.5 on your car. When I looked on there, the site said it would fit but that's to heavy for Honda's suspension. Or do a google search. Put 20x7.5 or 19x7.5 rims and it should give some good sites. One thing that helped me was discount tire's web site. (discounttire.com) Go to tires, then click on search by size, after that, in the right hand corner you will see tire calculator. Put in the size your looking for and the size your trying to put on the car, and it will give you all the specs you need as far as size!!! My wheel is on bigwheels.net. I've got the MKW mk35 in 20x7.5, rimstop.com has alot of wheels but some of there prices are to good to be true. (I don't trust it) but on this site you can put the wheels on your car and even lower the car and make the wheels spin. If you are going to go 18, try to remember that 18x7.5 is lighter but I wouldn't go over a 18x8. Anything over that is pushing it.......

Holy hell that is a heavy rim!! If you talking "big rims" and lightweight, Volk is what i would say. Strong, light for the size, expensive, but bad ***.

To the original poster, I'd agree with 19's as the biggest comfortable size to go with, and match stock diameter as much as possible as everyone has said.

Well think about it this way. I found 15" Enkeis that weigh 9.5 pounds, the same wheel in 16x7 that weigh 13.7, and the 17's weigh between 15.6 and 16 pounds depending on width.

18's weigh between 17.8 and 18.3, 19's weigh between 18.7 and 20.7.

These are all the exact same wheel, just larger. Now, a stock 15" ally should weigh in at around 15 lbs or so I believe, so just think about what would happen if you slap a 28 lb wheel to that car.

I wouldnt go over 17" on a 6th gen, and I wouldnt go over 20 lbs. You'll lose gas mileage and acceleration.

my rule of thumb is to have a wheel thats weight is less then its diamter, of course in some cases that wudnt be possible, for example a super wide rim...but 28 lbs is just way to heavy for any size to throw on a accord

edit: wait, for the guy who asked bout the 28lb rim, is it with or without tire? cuz if its with, then its not that bad...

That is just the rim only without any tires. Most 18" chrome rims are very heavy so I might stick with lightweight 17's (something between 16 - 21 lbs most)

P.S. The Volk rims are just too expensive but there are nice

Volks cost an arm and a leg. But they are worth it if you can afford them. Me preferably just 15-16, 17 maybe.

$285 per rim without tires for the O.Z. Superleggera 18's.
Do any body know where you can find a better price? Or a hook-up?
