Default Audi DRL LED's on Accord 6th Gen

I had this idea of mounting LED strips inside my headlights. Obviously baking them and taking them apart to place them. I have a few questions though.

> My 6th gen accord does not have DRL. So i was thinking is it possible to buy a cheap fog light kit, cut the fog lights off and splice up the wiring to the LED's? So that way I'll have a switch inside to turn on and off just for DRL LED's instead of fogs?

I don't want to wire them up with the parking/turn signals because I don't like running those on in the daytime along with the tail lights. Just a pet peeve of mine...

Any other alternatives? I just want it so that I have a switch to turn them on and off.

If you want to go that far, you might as well get an Audi, pull out the LEDs, wiring, and switch, and toss the rest.

Just get a switch and some wire, and wire it up. Should cost you no more than 10 bucks.

I was thinking of this and have it wired so the DRL comes on when the key is in the on position. I am planning on getting some longer LED stripes to reach the top of the bumper. Give it more of a cat's eye look. No switch required. If you get the side emitting LED stripes, you can install the LED stripes on top of the headlight housing and under the rubber stripe on the underside of the hood. No need to open the headlight housing assembly.

Well the thing is I have TYC housings and I wanted to do a clean built in look inside. So if I wanted to wire it up and have a "switch" how would the connections go? A wire running directly to my battery and a grounding wire?

is this a new fad now? lol Its like everybody starting to copy audis pimple lights on every car now haha... This reminds me of the BMW halo lights fad... I dunno If i was you I would keep it the way it is... nice and clean.... Those type of lights just look ugly, even on an Audi..... ehh... i guess what ever floats you boat...

You will have to look at the LED current/voltage requirements and limits as well as the foglight harness to see if it will work properly, just randomly cutting/splicing won't work. You may get lucky once, but probably not the second time.

Honestly the easiest thing would be to buy those LED driving lights that are in like clusters of 10 or so and mount them in the lower grille. If you go into the headlight housing it can be a bit of a pain if for example an LED burns out or a resistor goes bad.
