Accord Guys : Help!!!!
Did a h22a vtec swap into a 1992 accord ex -- it did not come with a at computer to change the shift points from 6000 rpm to 8000 rpm . Do you know where I can find one and if there is a company out there that will reprogram the old computer or is there a way to change shift points. Yeah I have searched and could find nothing....

I don't think there is. If there is you'd spend way to much money getting them to reprogram it. In fact you'd be better off swapping out the trans for a standard.

I do not know that is why I asked. I quess that is why the LSD auto H22s are going for like 500 - 600 dollars less than the 5speeds. Anyone know anyone that sells junked 1992-1995 Honda Accord Euro Rs or SIRs -- or where a person could go to source a H22 vtec transmission control unit?????

I'd definitely recommend manual transmission. If you set a 8000 rpm shift point, you're going to feel like you're racing everywhere you go. 1st gear in a parking lot at 7900 rpms? Yeah, I guess you could just shift it, but that's the point of having an auto is not having to shift. Your best bet for type R/euro stuff is probably to search around online and try to find somewhere close.

I really, really don't think he meant that he wanted it to shift only at 8000rpm. He just meant a maximum rpm.

Oh. Misunderstood I guess. Regardless, if he moves up the shift point 2000 rpms it seems that it's going to feel a bit like a racecar.

you can use the tcu from your f22 for the time. however, in "d4" it will on shift to your old redline. You can manual shift it, and it should go all the way to the h22's redline.

The TCU doesn't use set shift points, so you wouldn't just adjust all shift points 2000 rpms higher. It's a bit more complicated than that, which is also why reprogramming a TCU is an unlikely solution.
