i love diesels, they are so cool. I assume it is turbo? i couldn't find the engine specs on that site. that would be awsome if they brought it stateside.

Probably not a turbo diesel, Honda has never made a Turbo anything, but I guess the 07 civic si or type-r is suppose to have one, we'll see. As for this 92mpg Accord, I'd love to own one. I would probably buy this over the RSX that I was planing on. More info on this coming to the US will be apreciated.

hmmmmm, i doubt any of us city guys can get 90 mpg even with that car... they were doing over 100mph so that doesnt really count as every day driving...

What kind of power will you be making with what kind of thermal and volumetric efficiency without a turbo on a diesel engine for a passenger vehicle? Almost all diesel motors are turbo.... it is a proven reliable technology.
And I SERIOUSLY doubt that you know what you are talking about when you say that the next gen si and ctr will have a turbo diesel engine. It will be most likely a k20 or k24 variant.
In fact, I don't think you know wtf you are talking about.

When we have better low-sulfur low emmission diesel fuel stateside, we will get that motor... ie. never.

Thanks for really being a dick about that bud, sorry if I didn't know about Honda’s early year turbo cars, and as for the 06 or 07 Turbo SI or Type-R, I wasn't talking about a DEISEL. I was told about a k series being boosted in a few years, Whether its true or not, I don’t know..

its gonna do as well as the turbo deisel VWs in the US. that milage is impressive, but the fact that it takes a mile to hit the same speed as mildly modded accord can do int eh 1/4 mile indicates its a low power commuter car, nothing like the current accords available in the US now.
