accident in the morning
so about to leave for school and i backed in to my moms car because she decided to park behind me for some reason. the cop comes for the accident report and he looks at my car and he sees it is a honda but it does not have the accord emblem on it in the back. so he asks me is this a civic, i was about to rag soooo hard. well thanks for listening to me vent, how often to people think your cars a civic?

Re: accident in the morning
well im at school now so i will get a picture when i get home. i started backing up first then went to look, but she has never parked there before and i did not see her parked next to me so i assumed she was in the garage.
she only called the police to get a report for insurance purposes. it was not just a little ding. for the low speed i was going there was some damage

You were about to "rag soooo hard", because he couldn't identify a particular Honda right away? Really?
Yet, you backed into your MOM's car that was PARKED directly behind you in your OWN DRIVEWAY?

Re: accident in the morning
as i said earlier i will get a picture of my car, but my mom... thats another story.
well I was just annoyed because not every small honda car is a civic. most accord owners are annoyed when they get there car called a civic.
yeah dont get me wrong i am very upset about having hit her car and doing damage to both.

That's a hell of a lot of damage for just backing up a few feet in the driveway. Does your mom have a truck or SUV, or something that sits really high? If so, I could understand the damage.
Look on the brightside... When you fix your car, you'll be able to get rid of some of that rust.

she has a chrystler pacifica so its a cross over type deal the bumper is not super high but it was the right spot. thanks for being the only optimistic one here besides me, i always look at deals like this as a time to learn.

The first rule of driving safely is; to pay attention. **** happens, its whatever, get it fixed, move on, however, from this point out it should be a lesson for you to pay attention to your surroundings and generally be more aware, god forbid you had hit a pedestrian and not your mothers car being in a rush. Imagine how bad something like that could be?
