ABS light came on in 99 Accord, but there's a problem...
As in the title, my ABS light came on this evening while on the interstate. I turned the car off, and restarted it and it went away... for a couple seconds. Now it's back on and it returns everytime I restart the car. Here's the problem. I don't have ABS.
So how can I go about reading the code for it, or at least resetting it? I've never had this problem before, for obvious reasons. Car is a 99 Accord coupe LX 4cyl 5-speed.

The way things have been going, it's probably a complication of putting an EX cluster in place of an LX. (Believe me, I hope I'm totally wrong) By any measure, it shouldn't have any effect what so ever.

That's... odd...
Assuming there's a code stored somehow, I believe that the jumper method for reading CEL codes is the exact same for reading ABS codes (instead with the ABS light, of course). Jump the terminals as you would for CELs, but count the ABS light instead.

In a Junkyard near you.
Well since you don't have ABS possibly a light is coming on for something else and like P said it's the wrong gauge cluster. (ABS light is lit but it's supposed to be the check engine light)

Actually, the check engine light is on for a code 1457 lol. The good news is the insurance adjuster and body shop that fixed the car 3 years ago are paying my local dealer to replace my busted tank, along with ventilation system and pump. All thanks to a PM from P_Adams that I printed out and presented to them. Thanks a million man.

Glad I could be of some help (rather than being a "Pain in the drain")
We've been bantering back and forth on so many issues, I'd kinda lost track....LOL.
