Default 97 accord cylinder position sensor

I have a 97 Accord SE. My trouble code is 9 which says cylinder position sensor
(cyp). I need help locating this part on the motor and is this a do it yourself project. Thanks.

It's really best to get the code read with a scan tool of some type because there are 2 'P' codes that relate to the CYP. You could start by removing the dist cap and see if it is full of metal shavings from the bearing going bad. check the wire connectors at the dist, and the ground at the T-stat housing. Reset the ECU and see if it recodes.

Thanks for the advice. I will check those items tomorrow and let you know if the code comes back.
