96 accord no start please help! all ideas welcome
Hello, I'm new to the wonderful world of honda and I need some help.
BACKGROUND:
*'96 Accord non-vtech 16valve automatic
*ruffly 230,000 miles on the car but the engine had a overhaul about 30,000 miles ago with bore, bigger cam, head, and so on.
*newer plugs, wires, dist. a couple months ago while problem was occurring.
The cars previous owner had the rebuild, but I the proof behind it. when I bought the car in early april of this year and the previous owner did warn me about the stalling and sometimes no start, but it drove fine for me for a couple weeks until it would sometimes stall when I came to a red light or a stop sign. Then all of sudden the car ran fine again for a couple days without issues then it stalled one night on my way home and would not start no matter what. So I got it into my garage and started to try to figure out what the hell it could be. I saw that the coolant temp sensor was corroded so I replaced it and the car started right up and ran fine for a couple hours and then when I shut it off again it would not start. I'm getting spark, compression, and fuel. It's cranking and all but will not start up. Ive done some research and saw that it could be the main relay but my fuel pump is priming and sending fuel (I'd check the solder joints if i could find the little booger). I've also read that it could be a neutral safety since some have had an issue with it in the autos.
If you have any suggestions feel free to throw it out there. Thanks a million in advance!
