95 accord heater motor resistor

Re: 95 accord heater motor resistor (00247)
Thanks for the help. Got the resistor out and repaired it. The resistor has a spring metal contact that has a solder connection. In my case a motor overload caused the solder to melt, the spring metal contact to open, and then the fan would only work on high speed. I popped the resistor apart and resoldered the connection. It works again. The overload was caused by a mouse in the heater assembly. He must have got caught in the fan when I started the car. The windows started to fog so I turned the fan on high. The mouse was shredded by the fan. Fur blew out the defrost vents. What a mess inside the fan housing. Blood, guts and fur all over.
