94 rear disc conversion minimum parts.

94 rear disc conversion minimum parts.
Ok so I rolled down to the junkyard for some odds and ends. I found a '94 with something I am coveting. Rear disc brakes. Now before everyone starts bitching at me about beating a dead horse here is what I want to know. Can I get away yanking only the hub assembly? Can I make a frankenstein suspension? The vehicle in question looks identical to my suspension. rear upper arms etc. I'd rather not have to drop the crossbar on a car held up by stacks of steely rims.

I believe you'll need to get both rear trailing arms, rear knuckle w/ hubs, rear calipers, e-brake cables, etc. There's more to it.
Project Low key did a DIY on this in the Modified Mag a while back.

Ive seen the write up and I'd rather not have to pull the whole thing down off a car. Anyone done this know what I can leave out?

My scanner isn't working so I can't scan the picture Modified Mag used for Project Low Key. They say all you need is the complete rear hub/brake assembly and parking brake cables. Honda Tuning did the same swap but used the whole cross-member. I like the idea of cross-member as well because it will come with the rear sway bar. Honda Tuning also mentioned 40/40 prop valve and master cylinder.

Thats what I'm trying to find out. Basically I want to ditch everything I can reuse from my old suspension. I'll probably pull the rear crossmember for the rear sway bar.

The picture in Modified Mag shows the rear lower control arm (I think) and everythign from the dust shield out. Then the brake cables.
