Default 94 lx tranny swap

sorr if this has been asked, im new here, i just got a 94 lx, its automatic and i wanna convert it to a manual, i was wondering around what this would run me price wise. Also where can i find a tranny and such.

there are classifieds EVERYWHERE. there are also places called...... junkyards .....

get on google and do a search....HT has some classifieds that are great, but you can't view them until you're a member. check out ebay, etc... a local junkyard quoted me $450 for a used tranny. you're also going to need the ecu for the 5spd, brake pedal, cluth pedal assembly, shift linkage, etc...

whew, im not sure on a complete price, but i would say somewhere around $1200....someone please correct me if im wrong.

also look in the Basic Guide to Accords thread....i think the info for doing a 5th gen swap is in there.

It can cost even more, depending on clutch, flywheel, you need a starter, you need to FIND a 94 lx ecu, which is hard. Also, $450 is too much for a tranny, i got one for $365 shipped, w/ 65,000 miles on it.

http://www.d-a-p.com should have some goodies for ya.

I'd say, if you dont do it yourself it'll cost over 2000

thanks guys , yeah i have been reading through the basic accord post up top ,it has a lot of useful info and thanks for the help.
