Default 94 accord lx not reving past 3500

friend has a 94 accord lx. he just bought it yesterday. well stupid him he didnt even test drive it.... it doesnt rev past 3500 so i assumne its in limp mode now. well replaced the vss so that cel went away but still have a code for fuel injection system. ive unplugged each injector to see if it made a differencer and they all make the rpms drop. could he have a bad injector? im a b series/d series guy not too keen on the f series. any info is helpful

It could be that one of the injector isn't flowing sufficiently. Use a screwdriver and listen to each injector to see if they're clicking.

Check to make sure the distributor is in phase and not 180 out.

I does, only reason i know is because mine was that way for 10k miles.

Almost acts like a rev limiter.

My car, 1995 Accord EX 4 cyl. 310k miles.

Your problem is electrical. Your ECU cannot see if an injector is dirty. Limp mode is a safety precaution implemented to prevent damage to the motor when something is off. Look at wiring for breaks, damage, unplugged connectors etc.
