94-95 Accord EX vs. LX exhaust??
Are there any differences between the Ex and Lx exhaust besides the dual tip and single tip? Would there be any benefits going to a Ex exhaust if I can find on for real cheap?

Re: 94-95 Accord EX vs. LX exhaust?? (sicivic)
So I'd like to know if a FULL EX system would fit an LX (header to muffler tip)
I have a 94 LX with a gutted cat - and wanted to get it replaced

don't know if this is true but I sold my stock 95 EX header to someone on HT and I believe they put it on a F22B2 motor. I don't know what modifications if any had to be done but I know he put it on his.

no it will not fit, i believe everything about the whole exhaust system is different, an EX header whether its stock or after market will not fit on an LX/DX/SE. EX's i believe have 3 bolt flanges instead of 2 bolt like the LX/DX/SE. If you go to like DC Sports website or Greddy, it will tell you that Headers and Cat-Back Exhausts only fit EX's. and there is a different model for the DX/LX/SE's. So no it will not fit.

Exhaust companies such as Apexi, Greddy, and RS*R sell the same exhaust for LX and EX. As long as they have the 3 bolt flange at the end of the cat the aftermarket exhausts will bolt up. However, some LX's and DX's do come with a 2-bolt flange, so most aftermarket exhausts wont bolt up, but its as easy as modifying the flange to make it fit.
The EX exhaust has a slightly wider diameter (something like .2"), but the piping is still crush bent so the diameter gets smaller in the corners.
As for the exhaust manifolds, they are all interchangeable between 5th gens. Only difference is the placement of the o2 sensor bung. On the EX header, the hole is at the end of the downpipe near the cat. On the LX, the hole is at the top of the manifold.
So if you're using an EX header on an LX engine, you'll need to either extend the 4 o2 sensor wires, or, you could reroute the harness to behind the engine, and no wires would have to be cut. However, the latter is a difficult process as there are a lot of wires to sort through and little place to work in.

i was the guy Touringaccord sold the EX headers to... they fit perfectly fine like stated above just the o2 needs to be extended slightly like a feet long. in order to get it perfectly fitted you will need to get the B pipe (i think they call it that) where the o2 sits and it will be a perfect match. if you dont have the b pipe youll have a 3 inch gap in between the cat to d-pipe, thats what i think most people forget to buy and say it doesnt fit.
