93 Accord Heater Core Replacement
Greetings to all,
I need the detailed procedure on how to replace the heater core on my 1993 Accord.
It is leaking inside the cabin.
It is a 4-door sedan, auto tran with AC and Airbags.
Video or pictures would be a big asset.
Thx

Do a search for how to replace the blower. Its going to more or less be the same. You will need both hoses that connect to the heater core...one comes from the water pipe and the other from the water valve. The water pipe connection is particularly tricky. I had to pull the driver side axle to access it. You will need to cut slits where the hoses attach to the heater core and then rip the hoses off as the hoses will be seized on from over time.

Re: 93 Accord Heater Core Replacement
Greetings to all,
Thanks for the reply.
I managed to remove the steeting wheel wheel, SRS as well as the dashboad.
I disconnected the cable and the hoses from the engine compartment.
Then I removed the 4 nuts holding the heater assembly but I cannot get it out to replace the heater core.
Are there any other mounting bolts that I have missed? Do I need to remove other components (heater duct etc..) and if so could you please provide some details?
Thx and BR

Re: 93 Accord Heater Core Replacement
Greetings to all,
Thanks to all for the info.
I managed to take it out by first removing the blower motor compartment, loosening the evaporator unit
then the heater compartment can be pulled out.
