90 honda accord trans
Does anyone have a time average and write up n replacing a 90 honda accord manual tranny? I see one for a honda civic but not a accord. if I have to use a 89 civic write up how does it differ from a accord?

Re: 90 honda accord trans
I did this already back 5 moths ago for my cousins 91 accord. The book tells you to just drop the engine from the tranny side but I find it easier and faster to just take whole engine out. I did the whole tranny swap in 3 and a half hours. At the same time though you need to be able to know exactly what your disconnecting and taking off to get that engine out easier and faster. I take off the front and both side mounts completely to include the mounts attached to the engine and body. as for the rear mount just take the main bolt off this is easier because of its location. take complete radiator with fan assembly out as one. battery tray and full air intake take out. take shafts off. disconnect exhaust from the catalytic converter. take bottom brace bar off. then start to disconnect the main harness from the sides, hoses to include the heater core hose, and shift cable by just removing the 3 bolts holding the bracket in place. (assuming you have a manual). dont know if this is helpful but let me know how it goes.
