Default 2004 accord engine problems

my dad got this 2004 accord , till 13 k everything was great and engine was running awesome. after 14k i feel a lildrop in the power. also after 3000RPM engines sounds change. its like a blowing air. im pretty sure its not v-tec cause i think it starts at higher RPM. till 3000RPM engine works dry and great and u can feel the pistons moving( u know what i mean) after that its like there is a very high flow of air and i can feel the drop in power. what do u think is the problem?
( sorry for the english problems)

blows air? only thing i can think of is the tranny not shifting and catching on the next gear and runs the rpm?

i took it to a dealer and they said there is no problems with it. and it just ran out of warranty i dont think there is anything wrong withe transmition! cause the engines sounds different. it doesnt work dry after 300RPM. exactly 3000!

There is no way it ran out of warranty. Usually, unless your case is exceptional, you should have a 3 year or 60,000 km warranty.

What did the dealership do to try to diagnos your problem?

you know what actually its my dads car, so im not very sure its out of warranty or not, but thats not my problem. my problem is the drop in power tell if u know what it is. the v-tec kicks in at 4500 RPM right?

there is no drop in power, your just used to it. . .

Well if there is a drop, try ait filter, fuel filter, get the injectors cleaned, make sure o2 sensors are working correctly.

What kind of gas do you use?

Yeah a tuneup might be in order.

Still though, how can a year and a half old car be out of warranty? 33K is already past the warranty for a transmission??

I highly doubt that it needs a tuneup, I just think hes used to the power curve. . .

yea even with 33k...there's still 3k worth of warranty...and obviously it ain't past 3 years...whichever dealer you took it to is either lying so badly or don't understand numbers
