2003 Accord Alignment
need some help, bought a new 2003 Accord EX V6, car pulls to left, checked alignment and it is +.6 left, -.5 rt camber: 3.0 caster l, 2.3 degrees rt. 0 toe left, -.08 toe right. The specs call for 0 toe front, o camber front, 3degrees 15' caster front. The dealer has tried to align it twice, I understand that you can't set caster or camber on an Accord, only toe. My question is with 500 miles what do I do? Is this much error in camber within specs? Do I ask the dealer to take the car back and give me one that is straight? Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

just out of curiousity, how are you checking the alignment on this? Because I also have a 2003 Accord V6 EX (sedan) and I thought it was out of alignment. Turns out that it's just the road I've been driving on every day (slanted roads, cause steering wheel to turn more towards one side). So you may want to check that. As far as miles, I'm not quite sure what to tell you. that's about how many miles I have on mine. Which dealership did you get yours from?

Re: 2003 Accord Alignment (brycerocket)
I went to two different alingment shops, two different Hunter machines, both agreed, bought it from Jay Wolfe Honda in Kansas City, seems to me it wasn't built right, etc, want them to swap it for one that is right! Just need to know what the +/- specs are on the alignment figures in the owner's book

While caster and camber aren't adjustable, they can be tweaked a little by shifting the beam. That should take care of it if it hasn't been wrecked.

thanks for the numbers, Honda is going to have them open up the holes in the strut towers and reposition, hummm, apparently they are having some problems with the 03 models, bummer, my old 96 was still 0.00 l and 0.05 camber right after 144K miles

Next time, don't waste your money or time bringing it to someone else other than the dealer. Your car is brand new, and anything that you notice, take it to them and have them fix it up (especially cause its for free). Also, if something happened later down the road, it would show that you brought it to them previously for a problem that may cause other things. Just my opinion.

Re: 2003 Accord Alignment (EXV62000)
I did take it to the dealer, three times and got blown off, went and got the alignment checked elsewhere and it was off, then came back tothem and finally they called Honda and are doing something. the other Honda dealer in town said if they can't do it right he will take care of it for me. i am not having someone other then the Honda dealer take care of this problem. I told htem fix it or its Lemon law time!

Man that sucks.
My dealer was great with my problems - after about 300 miles I found out taht the bumper was all scratched on the bottom and that one of the windows had a deep gash in it. The dealer repainted the bumper and replaced the window (not fix, replace) without a word. I guess it matters where ya buy it.

Wow, that is bad service, sorry to hear that. Don't give up on them, and if you have to, call Honda Headquarters and let them know the problem. They will hopefully make that dealer shape up. You should be reimbursed for having to go to the trouble of going somewhere else (to pay for it when its under warranty). Especially since the dealer lacked consideration, and did not honor their warranty (therefor breach of contract), and treated you with utter disrespect as far as Im concerned. Complain for sure, get them in trouble for that.
