apexi ws2 muffler help
Its been awhile but its time to replace my muffler on my 94 accord.
I was looking into the apexi ws2. I would go with the universal one but not sure if I should go with the offset muffler to the left or right...
Im thinking left right?
Anyone have any pics or suggestions on which side?
I have the stock OEM rear lip btw.
Thanks

stock is on the right hand side but you can pay to have it where ever you want. mines on the right(passenger) side like stock.

Re: apexi ws2 muffler help
Because I already have 2.5 in exhaust piping. Just want to change my muffler.
Universal either LT or RT ws2 muffer $299 compared to whole exhaust system $639............
That would be great!
Thanks. So it looks like the catbacks for 94-97 accords, the muffler is on the right?

If you have the piping already then why not line it up under the car, or even beside it and see which you need? Without knowing what brand or type of exhaust pipe you already have who is going to know what it is setup for? That said I believe my WS2 just was straight with no offset.

Re: apexi ws2 muffler help
The straight through design with no offset of the outlet is with ONLY the 80mm turbo ws2 muffler.
No Accords have exhaust on the left. All the Accords have a muffler on the passenger side with the piping going relatively straight back to right before the rear wheel then cutting over towards the passenger side and then over the sway bar and straight to the muffler. The exception being the wagon which has the tip offset from the muffler.

My car already has a full 2.5 catback exhaust system. I know how it routes and where it goes. I just want to get a new muffler. There is no need to know what my setup is. This thread was to know which muffler outlet offset would look best (to each their own) and show some pics of their choice to help me with mine. People that know about the ws2 mufflers know that they have 2 choices when it comes to the muffler....either muffler outlet offset to the left or the right. Here is a pic since it seems like you don't know.
Offset left
Offset right
Left and right offset
I am debating on which universal ws2 muffler to get....the one that has the outlet muffler on the right or the outlet muffler on the left.
In respects to the ws2 catback system for the 94-97 accords, which side is the muffler outlet?

I already know that Accords don't have exhaust on the left (driver side). I am talking about the offset of the muffler outlet.

*edit* Only reason I'm posting in here is because I had a WS2 with custom 2.5" piping

Alright. Well we all know what we are talking about lol.
I have a choice now, I can either get it offset left or right. Im thinking offset left like integras and civics. Yay or nay?
Keep in mind I have the stock rear lip from a 94 accord

Re: apexi ws2 muffler help
Got the Apexi WS2 in the mail yesterday and got it installed.
Also for clarification, when you buy the WS2 the left and right offset do not matter. The offset is for the inlet and NOT the outlet as I was informed. The company told me incorrectly.
All outlets for the WS2 universal both NA and Turbo are middle outlets.
It sounds great. I went from a OBX twinloop which was quiet to the WS2 which is even quieter.
I cannot hear the muffler noise over my own motor.
I will post up pics when I get a chance.

Re: apexi ws2 muffler help
Its only for muffler inlet. I made the mistake of choosing right but it doesnt matter. Any good muffler shop can bend pipes.
I suggest left offset since accord piping is on the passenger side.
All in all very happy. Cant hear the muffler over my engine which surprised me alot. That is how quiet the muffler is. Its been 5 years now since that could be done since i did my first mods.
