2001 Accord V6 TCS light! Please help!
Hello guys, please help me on the light problem.
I just bought this 01 Accord Ex V6. Unfortunately, I have some problem to ask over here about TCS light.
1. Is the TCS will light on to do the routine checkup as similiar to check engine light, and will shut off after the routine checkup? Or it will just light on when traction control is engaging especially during snowy/slippery road surface?
2. What does it mean when TCS light is on when I am driving (It won't turn off before I turn off the car? The road surface condition is dry.
Please help me out.
Thank you.

You should have a TCS button on the dash to make it go out. My 03 Swdan TCS button is on the left beside the sunroof button. TCS light on doesn't mean anythings wrong. It has to do with the Steering & Suspension I believe. Good Luck!

The traction control light shouldn't really be on unless you turn it off...if it's on when the car is started and doesn't turn off there may be a problem that needs addressing. The light will come on briefly at startup after which is should turn off. The light will be on if the traction control switch is depressed which turns it off. If the light blinks especially on acceleration, it means the traction control is working to keep spin in control. Keep in mind however that the traction control will work under 18mph so if the light is blinking or solid after that speed there may be an issue at hand. BTW I drive an '01 LX V6 sedan which has the same traction control system so have had some experience with this system. Hope that helps somewhat???
