My 01 Accord shifts very slowly when cold.
1st to 2nd can take 30 seconds and will be out of gear for 3 seconds then hit hard into 2nd.
2nd to 3rd hits hard but is faster.
3rd to 4th seems fine.

Once it warms up it shifts just fine, fast shifts, does not shift hard and works great.

Down shifting when cold is also slow.

No codes, no flashing D, no check engine light.

Is this a faulty solenoid? If so which solenoid?

I am not familiar with the solenoids, I am able to change the broken one but need guidance as to which one to look at first.

What this most likely indicates is that your seals are getting very hard, more noticeable in the winter, and it makes it so the servo piston does not apply the clutch bands when it is supposed to. Try Lucas Auto trans treatment in with the fluid. Brings me to my next point. Check the fluid? Is it the right amount according to the dipstick? What is the color and odor. Should be a solid pinkish. Not burnt or black, or smell burnt, if so the trans is going up.

I took it in for a fluid change, the old fluid looked good according to the transmission place, it was not burned and smelled normal.
I have added Lucas Oil but no change yet.
Fluid level was normal at the change time. Is normal now.

There were a few particles but not many.

My wife tells me the D light flashed and the check engine light came on so she disconnected the battery to clear it.
I am hoping it happens again so I can get a code....
