I'm hoping someone out here can help me with a problem. I just got a 1998 Honda accord The fan on the ac/ heat vents blows real strong air. My problem is with the controls none of them are working I cant change the vents to defrost or floor it doesn't change from hot to cold air just blows fan none of the buttons are working at all. Does anyone know what I can do to rectify this problem I really need to get this working I need defrost and heat and ac.

i got a control unit for sale. 60 bucks shipped, needs 2 lightbulbs replaced however, you can use ur current lightbulbs.

I have not been able to fix the problem yet just to much on my plate...I'm not even sure if it is a control unit problem or just electrical.

I have somewhat the same issue with me 01 coupe EX.

Randomly, the controls go out, i can only regulate fan speed.. Then it comes back on after a while. Pretty annoying, but havent got a chance to diagnose the problem yet :/
