Default 1996 honda accord front door speakers 6 1/2.

I got some alpine Sps-600c speakers for my car size 6 1/2 which is the right size. I was trying to install them today and found out that the holes don't line up for the screws. The holes on the alpines are in a perfect square one in each corner equally spaced out. The ones on my stock speakers are uneven the two on top are further spaced apart and the bottom are less apart. How can I install these what do i need to buy or do???

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Drill a hole or make it fit

If they do fit in the stock bracket and aren't too deep for the door you can use self tapping screws and just screw them into the plastic speaker brackets.

If they are too deep and too big for the stock brackets (oversized 6.5" speakers) then you need to make some out of mdf (wood) or another material.

the speakers do fit in the hole, its just the holes for the new speaker are in a box shape one in each corner and for the factory speakers, the holes were off set two on top further apart the two holes on bottom, so the holes on the new speaker dont match up.

do i need an adapter for it if so where can i get it? or do i drill holes into the side, it seems like its metal though.

there should be some kind of plasic ring that acts like an adapter. when i bought my speakers they came with them, my car also came with them when i took off the panels.
