1995 accord over heating problem
hey everyone,
i have a 95 accord with the 2.2l 4cyl vtec. so far i've replaced the water pump, timing belt, thermostat and gasket, and the thermo switch on the thermostat housing. when my car is sitting the temperature gauge will all of a sudden spike up to the red. i've also noticed that my fan only comes on when the ignition is turned off. i dont think its my head gasket because my oil is still looking like oil and it was also checked with a tester. im running out of ideas and think this problem is also killing my fuel mileage. any other ideas on what the problem could be would help!

Run the car with the rad cap off until all the bubbles come up. You will know when its time to put the cap back on.

another way to get all the air out of kooling system is a bleeder valve on top of T-Stat housing open slightly till you get a steady stream of antifreeze and no bubbles then close it's a bit messy but works! good luck. Later dude

Does both of your fans work? One of the fans which turn on when car is turned off is normal. But what bout the fan by the driver side? Does it turn on?
