1994 honda accord wont start! replaced starter still no dice...please help
AS I WAS LEAVING WORK I GOT IN MY CAR AND TO MY DISMAY MY CAR DIDNT START. ALL ELECTRICAL CAME ON (LIGHTS, RADIO, DASH, HORN). I HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC AND HE ADVISED IT WAS THE STARTER, WE REPLACED AND STILL NO DICE. THE ENGINE FLYWHEEL STILL TURNS, THE BATTERY IS GOOD, AND WITH NEW STARTER, THIS HAS LEFT ME PUZZLED. WE REPLACED THE STARTER TWICE AND STILL NO START. EVERYTHING ELSES COMES. COULD IT BE AN AFTERMARKET ALARM SYSTEM, I HAD READ ON ANOTHER FORUM SOMEONE ELSE WAS HAVING THIS PROBLEM COULD THIS BE SO, ANY SUGGESTIONS

Always the same question. WHy does'nt my car start?
Is the engine turning or is it just the starter?
1. tell your mechanic, if he actually is one, to check for fuel
got gas in the tank?
is gas reaching the injectors
Is the pump priming?
2. Check for spark
is spark occuring at the spark plug?
If you have fuel and spark, then you need to check some electrical components, but let's start with that?

BTW, you have a 5 post daily limit. SO to answer more questions, you will have to edit your previous post.
You may have gas in the tank, but is gas reaching the injectors?
Now, if you have spark and fuel and the engine cranks, yet it does not start, then something is maybe wrong the the crank position sensor or something involving timing. Has your tech checked or talked to you about that?

Starter solenoid. I don't know where they are on this car but I believe there is two of them. one at the starter and one somewhere else. That is my guess and that woulda cost about 15-20 bucks to replace.
I'm a mechanic and that would be my first guess if you hear the click but no turning. Specially after replacing the starter twice.

Doh!!!! Just saw that it clicks and does not turn over.
You may want to look to make sure your starter is recieving enough voltage to actually turn the engine.
Loose ground strap
Eroded wire to starter.
Has your mechanic talked to you about this?
