What is your budget and what are your actual goals?
You could try looking at some of the engine swap infor and dyno threads to get an idea of what is required to actually put power to the ground.
Starting off with good tires, upgraded brakes and suspension would be a good place to start. Power is easy to get... stopping it and actually being able to handle it are two of the most often overlooked aspects.
Or you could try a Civic!

Lol, a vtec header? as in a vtec cylinder head, or just a regular exhaust header on a vtec engine? For speedo, I think the vss is a main factor, but check into that.
Upgrade wise - lower it for better handling, also brakes as ghost said, get a new cam, turbocharge it, upgraded clutch, get an upgraded ecu and bring it to a shop for them to tune it. all that can probably be done with good quality parts for 3-5000. Again, it depends on how hardcore you want to go with this car. Accords are heavier, and are less desirable when it comes to building racecars. They usually take more money than a simple car such as a civic to get to a good level track car. So either blow all your money on this car or go out and get a civic. Basically what ghost said, lol. Anything's possible though

Re: 1994 honda accord supe
where will you be racing? ...Drag strip, auto cross, road course? does it need to remain street legal?
or do you really mean you just want a fast street car...? believe it or not there's a big difference.
you seem to be a little long on ambition but short on knowledge (BTW- odo and speedo sudden failure is usually a bad/disconnected VSS). reasearch, learn more about cars, modifying cars, prepping cars for racing, how do drive better... before you begin bolting on "go-fast" parts. These two sub-forums would be a good place to start.
Road Race/Autocross/Time Attack
Drag Racing (legal)
then, maybe get a factory service manual. IMO if you're not willing to fork over the money for it you're probably not all that serious and you're wasting your time.

Re: 1994 honda accord supe
ok well ghost accord and hondamark35 pretty much summed it up.
u need to know if u want to stay N/A or turbo the car and then think of what choice of engine u want to go with. stay F, H series or K series
also read up on the route u plan on going. just when u think u understand it, read it again!
a friendly reminder - build it right, build it once!!
dont skimp on cheap parts cause u will be breaking parts.
