Thanks for sharing, was it a pain getting the door panel off?

no its pretty easy, you just need a phillips head screwdriver for two screws and maybe a flat head screwdriver to pry the panel off.

Remove 2 screws that hold door handle and opener
Remove push screw at the corner of door
Disconnect harness from door opener
Pry door panel from bottom and slide up

OP what exactly was wrong with your actuator??

On my 97 Ex, the doors will lock electronically, but wont unlock. Only way to do it is to manually pull up on the levers.
Also, the key can unlock them from the outside, but not the switch on the inside.

nothing was wrong with my actuator. It was actually the door lock control module (the orange box). The problem I had was that all the doors wouldn't open or close when I tried pushing the lock/unlock button. I would hear a faint click from inside the door panel and after doing some research and troubleshooting, I decided to open up the module to see what was inside. I found out that one of the soldering points looked a bit cracked so I took out my circuit tester and stuck it in between the crack. I then pushed the lock/unlock button and my doors unlocked. My circuit tester was making the circuit functional thus unlocking the doors. I went ahead and soldered the point back together and they have been working for almost 2 months now.

as for your problem, although i'm not expert on this topic, I think it could be that the switch has gone partially bad. If the doors are able to lock from the inside, your door lock control module is working and so are your actuators.
