I was told by a Honda service advisor that the 93 Honda motor mounts allowed a lot of vibration. Mine does vibrate strongly at idle but smooths out as soon as I begin to accelerate. Is there a good fix for this problem?

there really shouldnt be any vibration unless there worn out, is it very bad in reverse?

The easy way to test it is to open the hood, put the car in 1 or R and "powerbrake" with your other foot firmly on the brake (don't do this for over 10 seconds) If the motor moves more than an inch you probably have a bad mount. But yes a 93 does tend to have a little more vibration that others but by no means excessive. Give that a shot and lets us know what happens.

The front mount breaks quite often on the 93's. Check the top rubber portion and see if its broken. If it has, thats probably where your vibration is coming from.

I inspected the mounts Tuesday and they seem to be in very good shape. I drove it and I guess it is acceptable (it has to be )
