1990 Honda Accord won't start - got lots of codes :(
My Accord wasn't run for a couple weeks ( and was running ok before ) and when I tried to start it the battery was completely dead.
I tried a jump - it would turn over but would not start up.
The green S light was flashing so I did a manual code check and got codes 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 14
I googled around and was wondering if a bad TCM could cause it not to start like this?
Any other ideas?
Also my muffler and pipe fell off a while ago which might account for some of the codes. It was running fine before without the muffler though.

My guess would be the ECM has gone haywire, but I don't really know. It seems unlikely that all those problems which those codes refer to will all occur at the same time. And if the ECM was messed up, then the spark/fuel injectors would not fire, accounting for the lack of starting. I'd look for some overarching electrical/electronic problem. Maybe even a bad ground wire for the ECM? I don't really know.

I think I will try to replace the ecu - any other ideas besides that I might be overlooking?
Is it common for ECUs to go bad?

Why don't you check the sport light see if it gives you codes. If not check the ohms on those senors. I think For the IAC its 16-28 if so its the ECU
